Poetry Contest!

Local poets are invited to enter the 8th Annual Poetry Contest, sponsored by Poetry London and the London Public Library. The contest is open to both established and emerging poets, who will write poems on the theme ‘The Streets of London.’ Laurie Graham, who is a poet, teacher and assistant editor of Brick, A Literary Journal, will judge the contest.

Awards of $200 and $100 will be presented to the 1st and 2nd place poems.

The winning poems will be shared on a series of posters throughout London Public Library locations and online during the month of April, in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Mark your calendars! Winners will also be invited to read their poems at the March 16th Poetry London Reading at the Landon Branch Library.

The contest deadline is Feb. 1st, 2016.  Visit poetrylondon.ca for more information and contest guidelines.
