My Favourite Children's Picture Book Is....

Square by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen

As the second book in Barnett and Klassen's Shapes series, this book is about Square and his friend Circle. Circle thinks Square is a genius as a sculptor. Square does not agree but Circle is insistent. I love Barnett and Klassen's simplicity in both the artwork and their story as they let readers interpret the story in their own way. Both children and adults will be able to enjoy the humor and see how one might not know their own strengths.
