Medieval Talks: Tolkien and Old English

The Middle Ages remain with us today. Since the publication of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy, Lord of the Rings, the modern world has rediscovered or perhaps uncovered a deep engagement with the medieval. In this 4-part series, University of Western Ontario faculty and student guest speakers will place the medieval and modern worlds in conversation, discussing Tolkien, Game of Thrones, and Arrival. Guest speaker - Margaret Jane Toswell. Two hours of free parking at Citi Plaza is available. Pick up a parking voucher from the main desk at Central Library.
