Calling in the Muse to Write What Matters (weekly)

These four workshops, based on Penn’s book, What Springs to Mind, will inspire your creativity and enhance your editing skills, whether the form your work takes is poetry, memoir, fiction or nonfiction; we will also discuss publishing today. Penn presents the three stages of writing: invocation, expression, and communication to explore new ways of reaching the source of your creativity, evoking your Muse to give form to what wants to emerge. We will tap your innovative energy and source of inspiration to find exact language in shaping your piece. Participants will develop an abundance of ideas and images, an enhanced awareness of structure, and more ease and joy in presenting your work. Register once for all four sessions: February 2, 9, 16 and 23. Register online, in person, or by calling 519-661-4600. Your Zoom link will be emailed to you before the program and then in a reminder email on the day of the program. Creative Age programs for older adults at London Public Library are generously supported by The Minto Greenberg Legacy Foundation and Westminster College Foundation.
