Speaking with Friends

The Friends of the Library invite you to celebrate the launch of a new edition of London Street Names: an Illustrated Guide. Edited by Michael Baker and Hilary Bates Neary, this engaging book adds 30 additional streets to the over 100 explored in the 2003 edition. Fifty-eight local authors explore the stories and people behind how streets are named and offer a fascinating window into our city's past as we celebrate London's bicentennial year in 2026. Reception, book sale and signing to follow. This is a free event. Donations accepted at the door to support children and youth literacy programs at the London Public Library. Two hours of free parking at Citi Plaza is available when you bring your Citi Plaza parking ticket to the Central Library main desk for validation
