Your Library offers free programs at our 16 neighbourhood locations all summer long!

 

Your neighbourhood branch has places to play and spend time together, with many locations open from 9am-9pm during the week.

 

Pick up a summer flyer at your branch or scroll down the page for a look at all the great things we have planned. Find a list of all summer programs here.

 

Registration for summer reading programs for children, teens and adults opens on June 20 and continues all summer long.

TD Summer Reading Club 2026

June 20-August 22 
Join the TD Summer Reading Club at your neighbourhood Library Branch. Tell us about your reading to win weekly prizes - as well as pick a cool brag tag! Collect your favourite tags and show off your summer reading streak!


Register for TD Summer Reading Club any time this summer, starting June 20. Open to kids of all ages and abilities. Available at all London Public Library locations for free. We know summer can be busy so you can join where and when it is convenient for you. We can't wait to hear what you're reading!

New! Brag Tags

 

Sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club and start collecting brag tags! Each time you visit the Library and share what you’ve been reading, you’ll get to pick a cool tag. Collect your favourites, build your very own brag tag chain and show off your awesome summer reading streak!

Summer READ Program

Our Summer READ Program Literacy Facilitator positions are made possible thanks to funding from the Federal Government's Canada Summer Jobs program and the Friends of the London Public Library.

Teen Summer Reading Challenge 2026

June 20-August 22

Last year hundreds of London teens participated in our Teen Summer Reading Challenge and this year, we've made the Challenge even better!

 

To sign up:

  • Use the QR code below to download the Reader Zone app or click on the link to create an online account.
  • Choose Readers
  • Create your account
  • Add yourself
  • Enter code d6158
  • Choose activities to join!

Log your reading in the Reader Zone app and complete activities for the chance to win prizes!

 

You can register anytime. Our challenge starts June 20.

Adult Summer Reading Challenge

 

June 20-August 22


Adults can join in on the fun, too! Our Adult Summer Reading Challenge allows you to keep up with your family. Pick up a challenge card at any Library location starting on June 20. Every book you read or challenge you complete earns you a ballot for our prize draw at the end of the summer.

Library Park Pop-Ups (Family)

Come join the Library outside at the park this summer! We will bring games, stories and fun outdoor activities. 

 

Please note: all outdoor programming is weather-dependent. In the event of poor weather, such as rain or temperatures exceeding 30 °C, the program will be cancelled. Call the Library for up-to-date information.

Visit the Children’s Library, Rotary Reading Garden and Labs at Central Library

 

The Rotary Reading Garden at Central Library offers a beautiful space for families to enjoy time together. Watch for concerts, outdoor programs and other events all summer long! The Children’s Library features play spaces and activities and don’t forget to check out the free creative technology in The Labs.

CoLABS – Family Maker Nights

 

Labs, Central Library
Tuesdays in August, 5-7 pm

 

Over four weekly drop‑in sessions, families work together to design and decorate a custom tote bag using sewing machines, Cricut, Buttonmaker, and 3D printer.
