Voices of the Drum: Song and Story Circle (weekly)

Join Cheryl Riley of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation for a meaningful four-week journey exploring the traditions of the hand drum through stories, songs, and shared learning. Participants will gain insight into the cultural significance of the hand drum while listening to Cheryl's stories and teachings in a welcoming and respectful circle. Content Note: Cheryl will share her personal experiences as a Residential School Survivor. These stories may include discussions of trauma and may be emotionally difficult for some participants. Please consider your own well-being when deciding whether to attend. Register once for all four sessions: September 2, 9, 16 and 23. Register online, in person, or by calling 519-661-4600. Creative Age programs for older adults at London Public Library are generously supported by The Minto Greenberg Legacy Foundation and Westminster College Foundation.
